Hi!

explore Lala's Land:

My ultimate career goal is to work for a professional basketball team in the NBA within their live game-day operations department. There is nothing that fulfills me more than ensuring every fan and VIP member that attends a sports game has the best time - whether it be from the graphics on the scoreboard or on-site activations in the arena.

During my time as an undergraduate student at Ryerson University, I was fortunate enough to work with the game-day operations team for four years as the basketball scorekeeper. This is when I developed a passion for the non-traditional side of the sport industry. I got to work every varsity exhibition, regular season and playoff game for the Rams. Thanks to operating out of the former Maple Leaf Gardens, I also got the opportunity to score keep a women's NCAA game between Duquense University and UCONN and the 2019 Toronto Raptors intrasquad game, which was their first game in Toronto of the season that they won the NBA Championship!

My love for telling stories about what happens on and off the court grew during my time as a freelance reporter for The Sports Column and ATBnews, hosting 4 Point Play on student radio and hosting a weekly podcast for my thesis project. Hosting and writing helped me truly understand the value of research and validity, as well as personal branding.

After graduating, I plan on taking my variety of knowledge and experience obtained in the classroom combined with my industry experience to the professional level. I believe I will be an asset to growing the fast-paced, progressive sports world.
